Jack and Jenna were unsure of a location for their pre-wedding shoot so I suggested a location that’s very close to my heart, the Severn Valley Country Park in Alveley, Shropshire. I’ve spent many a happy hour there with my wife and kids and walked many a mile exploring the park which is situated close to the the Severn Valley Railway and River Severn. The story of the park began in the 1800′s when coal mining began in Highley. Production switched to the Alveley Colliery in 1936 and at it’s peak employed 1000 men and produced 300,000 tonnes of coal a year. Mining ceased in 1969 and the area was badly scarred by spoil heaps. In 1986 a reclamation scheme began, and in 1992 Severn Valley Country Park opened. Jack and Jenna are having a civil marriage ceremony in August of this year at a local Worcestershire venue, fingers crossed the weather on their wedding day is as good as it was on their eShoot.
