I headed down the M5 motorway last Monday to meet and photograph Alex & Aly in Bristol. The couple originally met in the city whilst at University, so it only seemed right that they chose Bristol for their pre-wedding shoot. They suggested the Clifton Suspension Bridge as a backdrop as they regularly visited the bridge when they lived in Clifton. The bridge construction was completed in 1864, unfortunately five years after Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s death (the bridge was built to designs based on Brunel’s plans). The bridge was very busy on the day and has now become a tourist attraction on the Bristol skyline.
